About the Event

  1. Do you remember when West Side or Bell-Line park was filled with activities and life everyday?
  2. Do you remember when the neighborhood was filled with small businesses selling icecreams, jumbo sodas :-), caramel cake, moon pies and Little Debbie treats?
  3. Do you remember going to church every Sunday and singing on the chior?
  4. Do you remember who was on the Mother Board and the Deacon Board?
  5. Do you remember the Silver Swan Cafe and the War Eagles playing ball?
  6. Do you remember when the little building was open and selling snacks and refreshments as you kept a watch out for fowl balls from the baseball field?
  7. Do you remember the sack lunches and the sound of horse shoes and basketball competitions?
  8. Do you remember the school that was turned into apartments and later burned down?

These are a few memories that come from an ocean of events and good times shared in this neighborhood and at Bell-Line park. During the month of May FACTS Community Empowerment will make plans to generate the buzz and create events that represent the rich history of the people and events that make this place special. The first project is to create a picnic area for families to gather and for small performance events that display local talent. FACTS will donate the first table and match every dollar up to $500 donated to this cause. Give your best and let's make Bell-Line a game changer in the area of community empowerment.

The dedication ceremony will take place on May 29, 2021 at a time to be determined. Join the move toward Building Bell-Line Better for our familes, our community, and our city.
